Braided Button with Pearls
Also known as 'frogs' these fabric embellishments cry out to go on the front of gatefold cards. They make fabulous clasps that will delight the recipient as they dramatically open the card or invitation.
Loops of silky braid are skilfully sewn in to a 'toggle' style of button with a loop and button clasp with white 'pearls' nestling in the loops. You really would not need to add much more to an invitation with a clasp like this as it's so unusual and beautifully made. To secure the clasp keep the 'frog' buttoned together, add some silicone glue to the back (be careful to avoid the centre behind the button) and press onto your card blank. Keep the card flat and give the glue time to set. To avoid unnecessary undoing and redoing of the clasp it would be wise to put your insert papers in first and add the clasp at the end.
